My Name Is Vanessa

My name is Vanessa

I want to share a little about my journey with you.

Life has taken me on a path filled with learning and growth, and I’ve come to a place where I’m deeply passionate about helping others find their way to mental well-being.

You see, I hold a Master’s degree in Global Mental Health from King’s College London and a BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Nottingham. But it’s not just about the titles; these experiences have shaped me and given me a purpose that goes beyond any piece of paper.

Growing up in a family of five, I’ve always been surrounded by love and support.

But it wasn’t until I discovered my interest in mental health that I truly felt like I had found my calling. My heart goes out to adolescents, as I understand the challenges they face, especially with the overwhelming impact of social media and the weight of social anxiety. It’s crucial for me to make a difference in their lives and support them through these difficult times.

My journey has led me to work with the NHS in the vibrant city of London, England. Here, I’ve had the privilege of being part of a team that helps individuals facing mental health struggles. The connections I’ve made and the stories I’ve heard have touched my soul, reminding me why I chose this path in the first place.

Working with individuals from diverse backgrounds has been a humbling experience.

Each interaction has taught me valuable lessons in empathy and understanding. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of social responsibility and culturally responsive practices in the mental and public health field. For me, it’s not just about theory; it’s about connecting with people on a personal level and making sure they feel seen and heard.

So, if you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and wants to walk beside you on your journey to self-discovery and healing, I’m here with an open heart. Let’s embark on this adventure together, where we’ll navigate the highs and lows, find strength in vulnerability, and create a brighter, more fulfilled version of ourselves.
